David Deacon
Senior Lecturer, Cultural Perspectives & Professional Project
David received his PhD from University College Dublin in 2018. He is the author of a variety of publications in the field of contemporary American literature and culture, and his research interests include popular music studies.
Since joining BIMM in 2015, he has taught on and coordinated various academic modules focused on research, popular music studies, music history, and cultural studies. He acted as Head of Academic Support, among other roles, apropos to teaching at BIMM Music Institute Dublin. He currently teaches Cultural Perspectives at BIMM Music Institute London.
David is also an avid musician, and has industry experience with Bodytonic Music.
